Fatima Prayers Of Reparation
An angel appeared three times to three children in Fatima, Lucia de Jesus dos Santos and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Martos, in 1916. At his second appearance he said to them, "What are you doing? Pray! Pray a great deal! the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary have merciful designs concerning you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High!"
"How must we make sacrifices?" asked Lucia.
"Offer God a sacrifice of anything you can as an act of reparation for the sins with which He is offended and as supplication for the conversion of sinners. DRAW PEACE UPON YOUR COUNTRY by doing this. I am its Guardian Angel - the Angel of Portugal. Above all, accept and endure with submission what ever the Lord sends you."
The Angel taught the three children the following prayers of reparation:
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
My God, I believe, I adore, I trust and I love Thee! I beg pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust and do not love Thee.
O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly, I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
The next prayer can be offered at any time, what ever we do, for love of God.
O Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of poor sinners.
"What are the greatest needs of the Church today? Do not let our answer surprise you as being over-simple or even superstitious and unreal; one of the greatest needs is defense from evil which is the devil." (Pope Paul VI, November 15, 1972, Deliver us from Evil.)
